Laura H. Sclafani has practiced family law exclusively since earning her law degree at Emory University. Laura has experience in all types of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, family violence protective order, stalking protective order, legitimation, paternity, alimony, separate maintenance, name change, contempt, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and birth certificate establishment and amendment actions. Prior to joining Smith & Files, Laura was a Staff Attorney at Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Inc. where she worked in the Fulton Family Law Unit representing and advising low-income individuals in all types of family law matters.

Laura currently serves on the Board of the Atlanta Bar Association’s Council of Younger Lawyers (ACYL) and the Atlanta Legal Aid Service Council. She is an active member of the Family Law Section and Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia. Laura is also a Barrister in the Lamar American Inn of Court. In 2020, Laura was Inducted into the Marquis Who’s Who Registry.

Laura lives in Atlanta and enjoys live music, yoga, and spending time with her family.
