Dawn+Audrey_small_webATLANTA (March 6) – Smith & Files is excited to announce the well-deserved Super Lawyer recognition for our partner, Dawn Smith and Associate, Audrey Bergeson!  Founding partner, Dawn Smith, was included on Atlanta magazine’s Super Lawyers 2017 list as “Top 50 Women in Georgia” lawyers and Audrey as Super Lawyer Rising Star.

In addition to her expertise in family law, Dawn has trained Guardian ad Litems throughout the state and has lectured on their role nationally. She is frequently appointed by Courts to serve as Guardian ad Litem in family law cases. Dawn is a certified arbitrator and mediates family law cases, in addition to being one of 40 fellows of the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is recognized as one of the leading advocates for the civil and educational rights of children with disabilities. In 2016 Dawn was recently named Atlanta Legal Aid Volunteer of the Year.

Audrey is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia and serves as the co-chair of the YLD’s Signature Fundraiser committee, in addition to being selected for the 2016 class of the YLD Leadership Academy. Audrey is also a member of the Atlanta Bar Association and the DeKalb Bar Association.
